Repurpose Rubber Design Workshop 1
February 19, 2009
Scenes From the Event
La Jolla Library Exhibit
Twenty students from Escondido High School joined us at our very first Repurpose Rubber Design Workshop at the California Center for the Arts, Escondido. The students sat pondering their creations as Gina, Calvin, Sivly, Dan, and Yad made their introductions. Come time to begin the students jumped right in and began to sketch, cut, sew, and assemble their tire tube pieces. Two and half hours flew by and the students' design outcomes were complete. Their repurposed designs ranged from bracelets to cell phone cases to shoes.
Special Thanks to ALL our sponsors for making this happen and to the California Center for the Arts, Escondido for donating the space free of charge. This workshop was co-produced by Crescentera Foundation.
